Head Coach: Awags (386-74)

Last Season’s Record: 12-3 (7-2 in SEC)

Last Bowl Appearance: Season 139 Won the Fiesta Bowl

Offensive Overview: The Crimson Tide will have a new starting QB in Jerome Bean  but that shouldn’t slow down them.  As a backup he threw for 2,102 yards with 46 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions.  Tailbacks Robert Davis and Richard Guidry are quality SEC backs.  Aaron Farmer and junior Joseph Henry give the Tide more big-play threats at wide-out. The offensive line will be the key. The line will be athletic as always. This unit has explosive capability.

Defensive Overview: The defensive front is talented as always.  Last season they were able to register 60 sacks as a unit.  The secondary saw its interceptions dip from season ago.  Last season they had 8 where as in the season before they registered 38.  I think they should be able to get those numbers back up.

Head Coach: Hatroq (261-84)

Last Season’s Record: 10-4 (6-2 in SEC)

Last Bowl Appearance: Season 139 Lost the Peach Bowl

Offensive Overview: The offense should be explosive yet again.  Last season they passed for 4,100 yards and rushed for 2,435 yards.  Jimmy Robinson should have another great season as he completed 55.2% of his passes for 3,923 to go along with his 25 touchdowns.

Defensive Overview: There isn’t too many vacancies along the defensive line.  They were able to record 62 sacks while the secondary netted 35 interceptions.   The development of new backups in the trenches will be important.  The linebacker corps should be solid with Jesse Bell leading the way, and the linebackers is the unit’s strength

Head Coach: Husker68144 (239-137)

Last Season’s Record: 7-7 (3-5 in SEC)

Last Bowl Appearance: Season 139 Lost the New Orleans Bowl

Offensive Overview:  The offense should see mass improvements as this is Husker’s 4th season as he now has his game-plan installed.  From year 2 to year 3 the offense increased in total yardage production by 1,107 yards.  I expect this trend to continue for this season.  Junior QB Edward Marshall will be the key.

Defensive Overview: The defense continues to improve as they had 26 sacks to go along with 14 interceptions.  As with the offense this group continues to improve.  The linebackers will need some depth behind them and I am sure there will be quality there after signing day.

Head Coach: Potter444 (1338-361)

Last Season’s Record: 10-4 (5-3 in SEC)

Last Bowl Appearance: Season 139 Won the Silicon Valley Bowl

Offensive Overview:  Potter will be looking to recapture the magic that he had 3 seasons ago.  In season 136 he passed for 8,112 yards as a team and the pass 3 seasons he has seen this total dip by at least 3,000 yards.  Anthony Miller will be key to get this high flying offense back to where it belongs…at the top.

Defensive Overview: The defensive may be the most talented.  There really is no drop off in talent in regards to the starters and the backups.  Last season this unit tallied 55 sacks and netted 19 interceptions.  I expect this same numbers this season if not more.

Head Coach: Bama2448 (368-105)

Last Season’s Record: 7-6 (3-5 in SEC)

Last Bowl Appearance: Season 138 Won the Hawaii Bowl

Offensive Overview:  With a new coaching staff it will be interesting to see how far this offense can take this team.  With a starting sophomore  QB it will be tough to get those conference wins.

Defensive Overview: The defensive line may be the most talented and deepest positions on the football team.  With starters William McKinney and Jose Pittman the Bulldogs have a couple of veterans who can lead the youngsters.  The three starting linebackers – Jeremy Lyons, Samuel Johnson, and Robert Scott – are a solid group.

Head Coach: Mpmershon (1518-487)

Last Season’s Record: 10-4 (6-2 in SEC)

Last Playoff Appearance: Season 139 Won the Outback Bowl

Offensive Overview: On offense, LSU will play a style similar to last year.  Carl Buckner passed for 4,722 yards and 48 touchdowns.  It will be interesting to see who starts at RB to run the ball.  Bruce Johnson seems to be the likely choice as he did haul in 149 passes for 1,489 yards.

Defensive Overview: The defensive front is talented. Defensive Lineman Frank Pratt and Joseph Hendrickson are the best of the linemen. The linebackers are solid with Clarence Valdez and Leroy Greer rotating in the middle and Robert Quinn and ronald Holloway rotating at the strongside linebacker. Corners Kevin Street and John Contreras both showed promise in the spring, but must continue to improve to be able to help against SEC competition.

Head Coach: Darryljones2 (378-162)

Last Season’s Record: 8-6 (4-4 in SEC)

Last Bowl Appearance: Season 139 Lost the Houston Bowl

Offensive Overview: The offense should be explosive yet.  Last season they passed for 6,844 yards.  David Daniel should have another great season as he passed for 5,155 yards and 45 touchdowns.

Defensive Overview: There isn’t too many vacancies along the defensive line.  The development of new backups in the trenches will be important.  The linebacker corps should be solid.

Head Coach: Treyomo (265-100)

Last Season’s Record: 12-3 (7-2 in SEC)

Last Bowl Appearance: Season 139 Lost the Orange Bowl

Offensive Overview: Last season South Carolina shocked everyone when they went to a heavy passing offense.  Traditionally this team that ran it through the tackles and only passed when needed.   It will be interesting to see what they do this season as both QB’s on the roster haven’t thrown the ball all that much.

Defensive Overview: The defense looks to be strong again.  Last season they accounted for 52 sacks and was able to nab 24 interceptions.  This defense played well last season and I look for that trend to continue.

Head Coach: Deenhorvie (401-91)

Last Season’s Record: 9-5 (7-1 in SEC)

Last Bowl Appearance: Season 139 Lost the Motor City Bowl

Offensive Overview: The Vols passed for 5,155 yards  last season while racking up 2,944 yards on the ground.  Tennessee hasn’t named their starter at QB yet but whoever gets the nod should be expected to put up huge numbers.  Antonio Romano at RB should be able to help keep some of the pressure off of the young QB.

Defensive Overview: The defense is going to have to perform a little bit better as I don’t see the offense being able to carry them.  Last season the defense was able to only obtain 36 sacks and get 11 interceptions.  If they are able to improve on this a little bit I see them contending for the SEC title.

Head Coach: Vhoward415 (895-218)

Last Season’s Record: 6-7 (1-7 in SEC)

Last Bowl Appearance: Season 121 Lost the Las Vegas Bowl

Offensive Overview: This offense continues to impress year after year.  If they are able to build upon last season they will improve their win and loss record.  Their star QB, Marc Morgan will lead the charge.  He has very capable weapons to throw to in Roger Duncan and David Blackburn.

Defensive Overview: As for the offense the same can be said about the defense.  It continues to improve season after season.  Last season they account for 27 sacks and 14 interceptions.  I see them improving on these numbers.  Be  careful if you think you are going to pass on them as they will get an interception or two.
